Lorenzo's Oil

Lorenzo Odone was a typical kid until he was seven years old. Unusual things started to happen to him after that: he began to have blackouts, memory lapses, and other strange mental phenomena. He is finally diagnosed with ALD, a degenerative brain disease that is highly rare and incurable. The Odones started to educate themselves after becoming frustrated with doctors' and medicine's failures in this field.
