The Kids in the Hall
The Kids in the Hall is a Canadian comedy Band Created in 1984, consisting of Kevin McDonald comedians Dave Foley, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney, and Scott Thompson. Their television show ran from 1988 to 1994 on CBC from Canada, and 1989 to 1995 on CBS and HBO from the United States. The theme song for this particular show was the instrumental"With an Average Weekend" by the Canadian ring Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet.
The troupe made a movie. The troupe re formed for humor festivals and a variety of tours in 2000. They released an eight-part Mini Series, Death Comes to Town 2010, in January.
The name of this band originated in Sid Caesar, that, if a joke did not go over, or played worse than expected, could attribute it to"the children in the hall", speaking to a group of young authors hanging around the studio.
