The Deeper You Dig
As a result of a collision at the side of the road, a woman, her daughter, and a total stranger find themselves unable to differentiate between the living and the dead. The film was a collaborative effort between John Adams, Toby Poser, and their daughter, Zelda, who penned the script, directed the film, and produced the project. In addition, they are starring in the film, shooting it, and composing the score for it. The family filmmaking team uses their existence in the Catskill Mountains to their advantage in order to create a one-of-a-kind icy tone for the film, which is a remarkable depiction of ingenuity. The skeletal woodland conjures us the feeling of being in a dream, and as the movie moves farther into the territory of the avant-garde, the cinematography has a blue tone to it, which pulls us deeper into the ocean of our subconscious.
