Murieta

Joaquin Murieta, a Mexican peasant, and his wife travel to California to prospect for gold, but they only meet one white person, a marshal, who befriends them. But after being beaten and robbed, and having his wife murdered by bandits, Murieta exacts his vengeance by forming a gang of outlaws who rob the countryside. Murieta is eventually cornered by the marshal, who convinces him to call it a day on his crusade. When Murieta is later wounded and convalescent, his gang unleashes terror on him without his knowledge, eventually killing him at the hands of the marshal in a final battle.
